Amy's gathering for her 85th birthday on June 27th was a wonderful blend of old friends and family and some not so old friends. Organized by her daughter Caitlin and granddaughter Lissa, along with help from Robbie Courtney and Tammy Nielsen, the party/potluck celebrated this amazing woman's life (so far!) in true Stehekin fashion~with food and friends and lots of both. amy wants to express thanks to all her family and friends who traveled, some from as far away as Virginia (Lee and Peggy Wolfle), Seattle (her first cousin Ruth and husband Bill) and Olympia (many old political pals) and some from not so far~like next door. She was touched and humbled by the outpouring of love she received.
