Members
of Stehekin Heritage presented a series of responses to the Draft
Land Protection and River Corridor Implementation Plans at the January
10th meeting at the Golden West Lodge.
Heritage members are appreciative of the extension of time offered
by the National Park Service to respond to these complex planning
documents. Additionally, we are thankful for the thoughtful manner
Superintendent Jenkins and the planning staff considered our comments
at Monday evening's meeting.
Stehekin Heritage wishes to continue communicating with all interested
valley residents concerning our responses to these plans. The
overall goal of the meeting this coming Tuesday will be to review
the proposals presented to Superintendent Jenkins and the planning
team. Additionally, we want to make ourselves available to answer
questions community members may have concerning these proposals
and the ongoing planning effort.
We welcome your presence at the Tuesday evening meeting.
Sincerely,
Ron Scutt
President Stehekin Heritage
