Lakes of the North Cascades: Hi-Laker Photos
Presented by Arts and Humanities of Stehekin

Lakes of the North Cascades: Hi-Laker Photos 1958-1973, an exhibit of photographs taken by Don Cannon, will be on display at the Golden West Gallery from March 28 to May 14. The majority of the photos were taken before the North Cascades National Park was created. They depict the high lakes of the North Cascades before the trail systems and warming earth altered the landscapes.

Founded in 1958, the Hi-Lakers bring together people who enjoy high lake fishing and hiking. Don Cannon was an early member and spent years documenting the stunning scenery.

Opening reception is Friday, March 28 at 7:00 with a talk by Linda Lu Cannon at 7:30. There will be a reception for Don Cannon on May 11 at 1:00.

The gallery is located in the Golden West Visitor Center in Stehekin. It is open daily from 12:30 to 2:00. The gallery is part of Arts and Humanities of Stehekin, a non-profit organization providing exhibits and programs that promote understanding and appreciation of the North Cascades through the arts. The gallery operates in a cooperative venture between Arts and Humanities of Stehekin and the North Cascades National Park.
