You have by now seen or heard the Beaver operating into and out
of the Stehekin Landing this spring.
For those of you who haven’t had an opportunity to see the
press release in either the Mirror newspaper or on Golakechelan.com,
this email should bring you up to speed.
Chelan Airways was recently acquired by a group of local Chelan
area investors. All in the group understand the need for air service
on the lake and weren’t willing to let it disappear. Chelan
Airways is committed to keeping prices competitive. We will be introducing
some lower fares as well as additional fare opportunities in the
form of specials on last minute seat availability.
The airplane we are using is still a de Havilland Beaver but now
with capability of landing on traditional hard surface airports
as well as water. This will allow Chelan Airways to reintroduce
year-around service from both our traditional waterside location
as well as the Chelan Airport. Meaning that during the winter months
and low lake level periods our downlake departure and arrival point
will be the Chelan Airport.
Chelan Airways looks forward to being of service to the Stehekin
Community. We will continue to keep the Community informed on seat
availability, so please look for email announcements.
See you on board.
